About Joanne Ferguson Bridal.

Joanne obtained her BA Hons degree in Textile and Fashion in 1985 at the University of Ulster. In October of that year she set up her first workshop in Enterprise House, Balloo, Bangor. Initially Joanne embroidered pictures for exhibitions. Her work inspired brides and she made veils and headdresses. Before long she grew in confidence and began doing the entire bridal ensemble. Christening robes, pulpit falls were among other specialist items custom made. After 3 years in business she bought her premises in Frederick Place, Newtownards, which grew and grew so that she could not only dress the brides and her attendants, but so that she could also dress the men in their wedding attire. The menswear is for hire or to buy unlike the bridal dresses.

Her bridal shop has been situated opposite the Strangford Arms Hotel as you come into Newtownards from Belfast for 20years.

The main window on the corner has attracted customers and proved popular with passers by for years. Thanks to them and word of mouth Joannes reputation goes before her.

Renowned for her attention to detail, Joanne not only makes her brides dresses with veils and accessories to match but she also will design brides attendants to compliment the whole look. Even the groom is made feel special on his Big Day with personalised detail. Bride & Grooms Mothers can also have their outfits designed and made especially for them with accessories to match..

One wedding successfully completed means a new wedding as word of mouth is passed on that she is the girl to look after you. Ask someone who has been to Joanne's and she will tell you that the whole experience is something special.
